IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO MAKE AN OLD FRIEND

I SEE YOU HAVE NEW BOOTS

It is not always even a conscience process. Your lives keep touching over days, weeks, months and then it becomes years and decades. Often long stretches of time go by with no connection. Sometime there is discord. Yet with the people that become part of your life the discord always seems to dissipate.

They become the people that can read you without any words. They can tell if you are OK from how you word something on social media and you receive a phone call. “Hi I called to touch base and catch up” they are there at the right moment yet never prying.

They are the people that know how to read and accept your quirks.

I have friends that know when I am very stressed I start cutting my hair. The shorter my homemade haircuts the more stressed I am.

Last fall I was in a show and the piece I was sharing dealt with hair. The day before the opening I cut my hair into a very short homemade pixie. I did not know anyone in the show so they were unaware of my day old hair cut. My circle assured me it was a cute haircut. Six months later my hair is back to a hair salon cut 😉

I am very lucky and fortunate person and I appreciate each of my friends 😉
