The things we PONDER on our way to lunch!!

Yesterday I was dropping off some Artwork on the other side of the State so I took the opportunity to have lunch with a friend. The Gallery is located within a very picturesque village. JUST LOVELY.
The restaurant was located two miles away. It is a two mile stretch of road that may at one time have been a main thruway. It is now very lost and tired looking. The merchants along this strip have probably been there for decades…sinking into obscurity like Grandma’s draperies.
Now I am a person that LOVES a winter landscape …one devoid of foliage. The sculptural beauty of trees is like looking at the bone structure of a person.
It was the bleakness of this stretch of road that pushed me to thinking:
Do I add more color to my work in the Winter to balance the lack of it while
working monochromatic in Summer to neutralize the lust abundance of color….????
