Years ago I had a friend that came from another Country and she was just beginning to speak fluent English. Waiting for her one day I said she was being a “Slow Poke”.  Her reaction was as if I had called her the worst term in your vocabulary.

How does one weigh the significance of a word? Is all communication doomed to the same bastardization as the telephone game played by children?

If Art is about communication is it important that the viewer comprehend the same thought as the Artist; or is the act of creating the dialogue the Art?
