Cancer is not a PINK RIBBON

Webster’s:

[Latin, crab, cancer]

a: a malignant tumor of potentially unlimited growth that expands locally by invasion and systemically by metastasis

b: an abnormal bodily state marked by such tumors

Are you battling Cancer or do you know someone one that is??

If you answered yes to either question you are well aware that there are no “Pink Ribbon’s” involved in this fight.

A Cancer patient is in a fight for their life!!! A Cancer hurts all the time!!!!

It hurts to have treatments, it hurts to watch your family, it hurts to tell your friends, it hurts to see the doctors phone number on your caller ID, it hurts to lose your hair, it hurts to breath,  it hurts to wonder how long you will be alive…….it hurts to wonder if you lived enough.

Pink Ribbon funding has made an enormous impact on public awareness and financial support………..yet it also trivializes the fight the Cancer patient is tackling.
