It is funny…YELLOW is the color for my astrological sign.
Yet yellow and I have often had a hard time getting along!!!
As a child my dad traded his car in every 3 years…one year when I was 8 or 9 years old I was so insistent that the new car be the yellow from the color swatch that my dad said OK!
We waited XX number of weeks for the car to come in…..and OMG was it YELLOW.
We had the car for the allotted 3 years and I never offered my color opinion again WHEW!!!
One of our 1st married apartments had a odd shaped kitchen….I painted it a glossy bright yellow with tons of murals painted on it…it worked.
Another apartment we lived in had a double room that was the majority of the house. over the years it was many colors…Then…I went YELLOW again.
The 1st coat of color was so streaky add bright I went for a second coat….the room was so bright I had to shut the lights off. Yet I thought the 3 coat would be the charm!!…HOLY CANOLI!!! the room made your heart beat to fast. 3 coats later of a soft blue you could once again breath in the space.
The studio I currently work in also has been many colors…the dark gold did work….but not so well for photographing my work.
Yellow now is working as my accent color!!!
